Conceived by the Commissioners Court, the Harris County Essential Workers Board (HCEWB) stands as a newly formed body comprising Essential Workers. Tasked with offering feedback and recommendations to the Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity (DEEO) and other pertinent Harris County Departments, the board, when appropriate, assumes an advisory role to the Commissioners Court on countywide programs, policies, and initiatives that acknowledge and bolster the essential workforce. Through this collaborative approach, the Essential Workers Board aims to actively contribute to the development and support of initiatives recognizing the vital contributions of essential workers in Harris County.
