The Education Services Department of the San Mateo-Foster City School District is dedicated to supporting schools in delivering a high-quality educational program for all students, in alignment with the district's Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles. This department collaborates with other district departments to provide program support, coordinate professional development, facilitate site improvement planning, manage assessments, oversee instructional materials, and implement a variety of district initiatives. It plays a crucial role in the adoption of content standards like CCSS, NGSS, and others, ensuring regular updates to instructional materials, professional development for teachers, and support for new assessment systems. Additionally, the department leads the development and review of the district's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and coordinates with departments like Student Services, Technology Services, Human Resources, and Business Services to ensure excellent and equitable educational outcomes for all students.
